About Power Exchange India Limited (PXIL)

Power Exchange India Limited (PXIL), established in 2008 as a public-private initiative under power-market regulations, runs an electronic electricity trading platform connecting generators, distribution companies and other market participants, regulated by CERC.

The exchange operates the Day-Ahead Market, Term-Ahead Market, Renewable Energy Certificates and Energy Saving Certificates, earning revenue through platform access fees and transaction fees tied to trading volumes, and has been expanding into newer products such as Green Day-Ahead Markets.
